The primary motivation for this project is to enhance the skills and methodologies employed by social workers in supporting individuals experiencing multiple exclusion homelessness. Multiple exclusion homelessness refers to individuals who face complex challenges beyond just the lack of housing, including mental health issues, substance misuse, and social exclusion. Addressing these issues requires a comprehensive and innovative approach, which this project with, its transnational component, aims to provide.
The general objective of the project is enhancing the skills and methodologies of social workers in supporting people experiencing multiple exclusion homelessness, through the housing first model.
The specific objectives are:
Developing an international community of practice among social workers for continuous learning and support.
The expected results are: Developed and delivered two focused training seminars for social workers bringing to the exchange of new methodologies and strategies to reduce alienation for severely marginalised adults. Created a stronger professional community among social workers, fostering ongoing innovation and support in social housing Created comprehensive guidelines to assist social workers in their roles with a specific focus on housing first.
Our objective is to increase cooperation among the
members of the network, between Italy and Sweden
and, more in general, the North and South of
the European Union.
