Parma Province

The Parma Province is a public administration representing a community of 44 Municipalities with around 450.000 inhabitants in a territory of 3.450 Km2.

It is located in the north-western part of the region Emilia-Romagna with an articulated territory going from the plains of the Po river to the ridge of the Apennine mountains.

The area is famous and rich for its cultural heritage, its castles, its churches, many of them located on the via Francigena and for its worldwide food excellences, as Parma Ham, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
