Motala is a welcoming port for people and ideas from around the world. The municipality of Motala has over 43,000 inhabitants. An upward trend that brings new establishments, construction projects and development initiatives. Motala is also known as Östergötland’s lakeside city because of the location near lake Vättern and also due to the Göta Canal that has its origin from Motala and Baltar von Platen. Motala is a municipality that has gone from beeing an industrial city to a city full of different companies and with a lot of focus on tourism.
