AICCRE, Emilia Romagna
Information
The Italian Association of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (AICCRE) is the national association of the territorial institutional subjects constituting the system of regional and local powers (Municipalities, Provinces, Metropolitan Cities and Regions) and of the other subjects in which the system is organised (Municipal Decentralisation Districts, Mountain Communities, Island Communities, Unions of Municipalities), through which these subjects operate in a united way for the construction of a European Union on federal bases, based on the recognition, strengthening and valorisation of regional and local autonomies.
AICCRE is inspired by the federalist principles of the Manifesto for a Free and United Europe (Manifesto di Ventotene, 1944) and by those contained in the European Charter of Local Freedoms (1953) of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), in the European Charter of Local Self-Government (1985) of the Council of Europe, in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (2000), and is committed to the adoption of a European Charter of Regional Self-Government and a World Charter of Self-Government.
Our objective is to increase cooperation among the
members of the network, between Italy and Sweden
and, more in general, the North and South of
the European Union.
