The objective of DOT is to improve digital and pedagogical skills of the teachers by exchanging best practices about the learning strategies based on digital tools used in our preschools and to improve and consolidate the engagement between parents and pre-school teachers, by increasing family participation through digital tools in their children pre-school life.
The first objective of the project will be to improve digital and pedagogical skills of the teachers, by exchanging best practices about the learning strategies based on digital tools used in our pre-schools. These skills must support different teaching methods in order to include every child and his/her family.
The second objective of the project will be to improve and consolidate the engagement between parents and pre-school teachers, by increasing family participation through digital tools in their children pre-school life. Moreover, they will also increase parents and children awareness about the opportunities and risks connected to digitalization and the use of digital tools.
The project foresees different types of activities:
– First Training Seminar on Digital Skills and tools for Teachers
– Second Training Seminar on Family Engagement in Education in a digital era
– Testing of the best practices and Publication
– Final Transnational Meeting
The results we would like to achieve, in addition to an improvement in the quality of our schools thanks to the acquisition of better skills by the teachers, are linked to the inclusion of different needs of children and families. In fact, digital tools can help to increase participation in school life by those who have any type of difficulty (linguistic or related to special needs). In addition to this, the improvement of teachers’ digital skills will help children and families in digital learning that it’s something that can be exploited throughout the training course and beyond. Thank to this project we could support the international dimension of the involved pre-schools. All this is linked to the priorities selected because a better knowledge of digital tools and skills for teachers and children can improve the quality in our early childhood education services. Digital transformation can help us to be more inclusive and to develop digital readiness, resilience and capacity of our pre-schools as well as families.
Our objective is to increase cooperation among the
members of the network, between Italy and Sweden
and, more in general, the North and South of
the European Union.
